Safeguarding at St George's School

Schools and their staff form part of the wider safeguarding system for children.  Everyone who comes into contact with children and their families and carers has a role to play in safeguarding children. In order to fulfil this responsibility effectively, all professionals should make sure their approach is child-centred. This means that they should consider, at all times, what is in the best interests of the child.

(Keeping Children Safe in Education – DfE, 2023)

Children come first for the team at St George’s School. We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all the children who attend our school.

Our Child Protection policy is for all staff, parents, governors, volunteers and the wider school community.

If you have concerns about a child please do not hesitate to act by contacting a member of the safeguarding team.
