Year 5 Homework
In Year 5, children will bring home CGP books to complete Maths and Grammar homework, this will be set by the Teacher. At St George's Primary school, children read at home five times a week and in Year 5 we kindly ask that you sign your child's reading card to show that they have met this.
Reading in Year 5
The expectation is that you read with
your child a minimum of 5 times each week and
record this into their reading cards. Each week
we will count the number of ‘Home Reads’
recorded on your child’s reading card.
The children must have their reading cards and
books in school every day ready to read to an
adult. The children take part in a reading session
every day where they will either be reading
independently, in a group or 1:1 with an adult.
P.E in Year 5
Please continue to send your child into school
already dressed in their PE kits on PE days. The
children must be dressed appropriately for the
weather as PE sessions will continue to be outside
as much as possible! Earrings are not permitted for
PE sessions and they cannot be covered with sports
tape. Please see our PE uniform policy online.

Class 16 – Monday and Friday
Class 17 – Monday and Thursday
Class 18 – Wednesday and Friday
